About the Opportunity
Council is seeking applicants for the position of Trainee Ranger. This is a two year traineeship position and as such, there is no guarantee of ongoing employment post the completion of this period.
The occupant of this position will provide assistance to Councils Ranger to provide enforcement of various laws and regulations in the Forbes Shire in line with the relevant legislation. The role is responsible for investigating complaints regarding breaches of laws and regulations.
Other benefits include:
- The Grade applicable to the position is a Trainee Grade as outlined in the Local Government (State) Award 2017;
- The salary is between $686.10 to $848.40 per week, depending on age, experience and skills;
- Council will pay 9.5% Superannuation;
- Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award 2017;
- This position is for a term of two (2) years and is conditional upon the successful applicant undertaking and completing a tertiary Certificate in a relevant qualification;
- Council will pay all course fees and will require a copy of all results received;
- You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this job;

Successful completion of course requirements will be required for ongoing employment during this traineeship.
